Pettywell Solar Project

Our proposal for a 40MW solar and battery project in Norfolk received planning permission in April 2025. The operational area of the site covers approximately 200 acres. It is expected to become operational at the end of 2027.

Launch of Largest Residential EV Charging Project

Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham

The team at Albanwise Synergy is excited to announce the successful launch of our largest residential electric vehicle (EV) charging project to date, now operational in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This cutting-edge installation, designed to serve the residents of a 105-flat complex, is a significant step towards supporting the growing demand for sustainable, green energy solutions.

Currently, the site boasts 12 dedicated charging bays, all electrified to support the future of EV ownership. In the first phase of the project, 4 bays have been equipped with state-of-the-art Ratio io7 22kW chargers, providing residents with reliable charging options. The remaining 8 bays will remain reserved, ready and waiting for future EV growth, ensuring that as demand increases, we’re well-prepared to meet it.

A key feature of the project is its future-proof design, ensuring that the infrastructure can meet the needs of the entire building in the years to come. In addition, a dedicated energy connection has been installed to power the chargers independently of the building’s energy supply, allowing all 12 bays to operate simultaneously without affecting residents’ energy use in the flats.

Mike Wong, the property manager, expressed his gratitude for the successful project. He shared his excitement on social media, posting: “A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.”

The project presented its challenges, from complex logistics to technical hurdles, but the Albanwise Synergy team worked tirelessly to address every issue. The result is a seamless installation that is already benefiting the community, with two of the chargers being used immediately upon activation.

Looking ahead, the Albanwise Synergy team is continuing to deliver sustainable solutions that support the transition to the use of renewable energy.

Installation Of An EV Charging Point At A Residential Block

Location: Solihull

In April 2024, Albanwise Synergy installed a shared, communal EV charging point at an apartment block in Solihull. The project was initiated after consultation with the residents where 15% of the leaseholders already had a need to charge their EV at home.

Using the latest load balancing technology solution, we were able to offer the residents a fairly-priced charging solution. Post installation, we have received positive feedback from residents, and the EV charger is being regularly utilised.

The charger adds to our growing portfolio of residential EV chargers on estates across the UK, highlighting and supporting the growing need of consumers’ switch to EVs to match the currently set government deadline of 2035.

With many further projects planned for the year ahead, we look forward to being able to bring convenience and solutions to more of our leaseholders.

Duxford EV charging hub

Location: Cambridge

Development works are soon to begin at our EV charging hub based just off J10 of the M11 motorway at Duxford, Cambridge. It is Albanwise Synergy’s first project of this scale and will enable up to 16 vehicles to simultaneously charge using eight 300kw ultra-fast chargers.

Vehicles will be able to charge their batteries in approximately 20 minutes. The location includes on-site restaurant and other amenities where visitors have the option to wait while their vehicles are fully charged.

This project is the first joint venture partnership with a leading electric vehicle chargepoint operator in the UK, and adds to the continuing growth of our charging network.

Other EV projects this year include the installation of further publicly accessible chargers and increasing our network for both communal and sole use chargers within our group’s residential block portfolio.
